TMS Mentoring provides a ‘Taylored’ mentoring program for all of our young people

With 1 to 1 mentoring, we provide a safe and fun environment to spark a trusted relationship between the young people and mentors. Whether visiting our units or working in the community, young people can build experiences, create social dynamics and develop life skills for the future.

At TMS we are fortunate to have access to incredible spaces

Kingsholm

Over 5,000sqft all devoted to creating a safe mentoring space. With access to table tennis, football, air hockey, art rooms, music rooms, imagination play, quiet spaces, sensory rooms, education spaces, IT rooms and cooking facilities. Kingsholm can meet all the needs for all young people we support.

Terrapin

A secluded unit on the outskirts of Eastington, with access to a playing field and play park. Incorporating a workspace and kitchen facility, with a small back room for those who need 1:1 support.

The KMM Energy Stadium

The home of our City's football team Gloucester City AFC. We have access to a full-size football pitch as well as learning areas, the club gym, the club sports equipment and more! This space is perfect for sports lovers over on our Post-16 Sports Course.

The Outdoors

We are now pleased to have our very own patch of land over in Little London, Longhope, in which our Post-16 Outdoor course is based. On this land our students are working on making this space their own using construction and teamwork skills. You can also expect to see local resident donkeys and horses as well as an orchard and our very own fishing lakes!

Visits have been regular and consistently in accordance with the needs of the LA/family. The diary sheets are detailed, accurate and provided in a timely way. A representative has attended every support review meeting and highlighted straight away any safeguarding concerns. Your service has been significant in supporting us to accurately assess the needs of the family and decide on a longer-term plan for the children. Working with Lou and Bev, changed my life, in fact it saved my life. At first I was stubborn, worried and scared to let them in my home, but they earnt my trust and most importantly my children's. Our son had a positive experience with Larry and Colin as he was finishing school and, when he hit a particularly difficult time in young adulthood, he was keen to re-establish contact with them. Now his weekly sessions are really important to him, and to us as parents. As someone who finds making friends and trusting others very hard, he benefits from the regular, safe and enjoyable contact that they provide. They go above and beyond what we would have expected and he knows they care about him. As well as taking him out, they have supported him with doctor's appointments and meetings with his social worker. He allows them to touch on some difficult subjects and give him advice. We have very much appreciated their reliability and excellent communication.
